So you’re thinking of throwing a party? Instead of making it an every day run of the mill party, why not make it a theme party? And why not make it a James Bond party theme?

Statistics repeatedly show that theme parties are much more enjoyable and are remembered in a much better light. So why not take a look at the following James Bond party theme ideas:

1. Decide early on if you are going to have an open James Bond party theme, where your guests can do as they please, or you are going to make it a specific Bond film or character. Perhaps you could have a casino like in Casino Royale?

2. The ladies can dress up as glamorous as they like, they will thank you for the opportunity. Or perhaps they could go for a favourite Bond Girl such as Jinx, Pussy Galore or Miss Goodnight?

3. For the guys, the costumes are great! Expect to see many evil people at your party such as Blotheld, Jaws, Oddjob and Goldfinger. You could also come in black tie especially if you’re having a casino sub theme.

4. Put on a Russian accent at the entrance to greet your guests. Check for concealed weapons!

5. Get yourself a long red carpet. Have it stretch from the entrance up to the bar. Your guests could then be offered a Martini, shaken not stirred!

6. Whether you are having a casino or not, you really should consider getting a poker table, playing cards, chips and roulette wheels for the decorations!

7. Hire an Austin Martin and stick it in your driveway. It will cause quite a stir! Also get other Bond items such as a Walther PPK and movie posters.

8. You can get the best of Bond theme tune music to play at your party. It’s available on CD!

9. James Bond is used to the best, so your food should be pretty impressive. I would go for finger buffets with lots of variety.

10. For the drink, of course it should be Martini shaken not stirred! I would also get in lots of champagne!
