Soderling, Gonzalez, Federer, and Del Potro Set to Battle!
We are now less than 24 hours from what should be a super Friday of Semi-final match-ups.
Will Federer find his way into another French final? Or will Del Potro break through (to the other side) as many expect him to this year? Will Gonzalez and Soderling break the sound barrier with their cannon forehands? Or will this be a lopsided affair with Soderling running out of steam?
So many questions, so little time until they are answered!
This is a blog, so I can be as biased as I want…I’m looking for a Soderling and Federer final, however as unlikely as this may be, I won’t be crushed if Del Potro posts a massive upset out there. I am a huge fan of D-P, and if it isn’t tomorrow, then I want to see him breakthrough at Wimby, or at the U.S Open. Let’s get the 20 year old on the big stage already!
The Gonzalez-Soderling match should be a “yeah, that’s a heavy ball, but how about this one?!” affair…Sure they are world class players, but I guarantee at least one forehand hit with closed eyes that’s out by at least 3-4 feet on the baseline.
Semi-Final Predictions -
Federer in 4, Soderling in 5.
Regards!
